Project Overview
US Highway 12 serves as a vital link between one of South Dakota’s largest cities and its surrounding rural areas. The $20.5 million reconstruction project significantly enhanced safety and mobility by adding turn lanes, street lighting, and an adaptive signal system. The project transformed a section of the highway from a four-lane divided road into a five-lane combined highway. The work involved grading, concrete paving, lighting installation, pipework, and the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert.
